The Canadian wing of Schneider Electric, a French company that specializes in electrification, automation and digitization, updated its lobbying registration to “discuss with officials regarding energy efficiency, grid modernization, and energy security.”

The registration comes after Liberal leader Mark Carney promised on the campaign trail earlier this month “to build out an East-West electricity grid, in a historic nation-building project, to secure Canadians’ access to affordable, reliable, clean, Canadian electricity” and reduce reliance on the United States.
