The volunteer search and rescue organization that serves Fort McMurray, Alta., says it’s in the process of regaining its charitable status following its unexpected revocation earlier this summer.

As the IJF reported last week, the Fort McMurray Search and Rescue Society had its charitable status revoked by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in July for failing to file tax returns.
