Popular towns with a higher percentage of homes listed on Airbnb are more expensive for renters compared to similar municipalities, according to an analysis by the IJF. The popularity of Airbnb in these towns could also be causing greater housing insecurity among workers who can’t afford the high prices during peak periods.
