Last summer, Susan Adolph was one of tens of thousands of Canadian business owners who were told they would have to pay Amazon more money on each sale they made on the site.

Adolph is the owner of a Halifax-based small business called Oh! Canada Seeds that sells flower, vegetable and herb seeds. Amazon is one of the platforms she uses to sell her products to the public, and it accounts for most of her sales.
