Canadian companies BlackBerry, CAE, Hatch, Bombardier and Roshel plus European manufacturers Saab, Airbus, Navantia and Thales are among the companies that have reported communications with federal government officials about military contracts since the start of May.
Swedish firm Saab’s Canadian subsidiary communicated with officials three times in May about contracts for submarines, while Spain’s Navantia expressed interest in the same project. French suppliers Airbus and Thales communicated about helicopter and ship manufacturing, respectively.
