The Mastercard Foundation, by far Canada’s wealthiest charity, injected hundreds of millions of dollars into organizations supporting girls, women and food production in Africa in 2023, the most recent year for which records are available.
According to the foundation’s latest tax return, its $2 billion in expenditures for 2023 included more than $662 million in gifts to other charities.
