The electric vehicle company registered a new lobbyist to inform the federal government that it “will apply, from time to time, for infrastructure funding where eligible, through competitive merit-based funding application processes as they are issued by Natural Resources Canada.”

In an effort to accelerate the transition to zero emissions vehicles in Canada within the next 10 years, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has been funding companies that build chargers across the country. There are 35,156 total EV charging ports across Canada, and 4,181 Tesla Superchargers according to NRCan data.
