Martin builds the IJF’s data pipelines with his colleagues, working in web scraping, data cleaning and database administration.

He went to Western University, where he studied philosophy. He was the editor-in-chief of The Western Gazette’s 113th volume, where his duties included managing a 20-plus person masthead. Martin is also a graduate of Columbia University’s Lede Program for Data Journalism program and a creator of open source data journalism projects like Open Sunshine.
