Aecon, a construction company based in Hamilton, Ont., reported communicating with Mendocino twice in May about “infrastructure projects with respect to Aecon's role as a construction and infrastructure development company.” It also registered a new consultant lobbyist on Monday.
The company has recently hired big names as it ramps up its lobbying efforts. In February the firm hired former Liberal New Brunswick premier Brian Gallant to lobby in that province. And last month, Aecon hired Jessica Georgakopoulos, a former senior staffer in the office of Ontario’s finance minister.
