Our reporting team has settled in a year from our launch and begun to set its sights on even bigger and more in-depth investigations. With a growing group of reporters digging into increasingly ambitious stories, perhaps no one is better equipped to help guide our newsroom to greater heights than Cecil Rosner, the IJF’s new managing editor.

Rosner is an exceptionally accomplished, nationally-renowned journalist, bringing years of experience and wisdom in the field to the editorial team. He has worked in print, television, and radio and has won both Michener and Gemini awards. Rosner received a lifetime achievement award from the Radio Television Digital News Association in 2019. He also helped organize a major international investigative journalism conference in Winnipeg in 2014 featuring participants from 15 different countries. He has authored several books, including the highly acclaimed Behind the Headlines: A History of Investigative Journalism in Canada.
