A new bill introduced by the Liberal government means media exposés of “cash for access” fundraisers hosted in the homes of wealthy political donors will soon be a thing of the past.
Bill C-65, tabled last Wednesday, would relax the transparency requirements around political fundraisers, among other changes to the Canada Elections Act.
