The NDP, Green Party and Bloc Québécois are condemning the Trudeau government after an IJF investigation revealed that Canada exports eight times more weapons to authoritarian countries under Justin Trudeau than it did under Stephen Harper.
“While successive Ministers of Foreign Affairs under the Liberal government have said they will deny permit applications where there is a substantial risk of human rights violations, they have ignored ample evidence of these violations,” said MP Heather McPherson, the New Democratic Party’s (NDP) foreign affairs critic.
